USA to defend Team Racing World title

Twelve entries representing 11 nations have been confirmed for the 2026 Team Racing World Championship to be held August 13-16 in Stockholm, Sweden. With the 2v2 format, entries have eight people with at least three women and three men.

Racing in J/80s will take place on Riddarfjärden, directly adjacent to Stockholm City Hall. The location offers outstanding spectator experiences from quays, bridges, and elevated viewpoints around the bay.

After not being held since 20215, Corinthian Yacht Club (Marblehead, MA) prevailed to win the 2025 title and will seek to repeat in Stockholm.

“Racing in J/80s is new for us, so there’s been a steep learning curve,” noted Will Bailey of Team CYC. “Being able to train right in the city, on a harbor course similar to Stockholm, has been incredibly valuable.”

North American entrants from Bahamas, Bermuda, and USA (2) will be joined by teams from Australia, Denmark, Finland, Great Britain, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, and Sweden.
