Online Memorial to Celebrate the Life of Michael “M2” Menduno

Following the deeply sad news of the passing of Michael “M2” Menduno, one of the most influential voices in modern technical diving, the global dive community will soon come together online to celebrate his life and legacy.

Michael’s daughter has organised a live and on-demand memorial event, streamed from Waiheke Island, New Zealand, on 11 October 2025 at 10 p.m. (GMT+3).

Known affectionately across the dive world as the editor of InDEPTH Magazine and the founder of aquaCORPS, Menduno helped shape the culture and language of technical diving, connecting explorers, scientists, and divers through his writing and community-building.

This online celebration offers an opportunity for friends, colleagues, and fellow divers worldwide to share memories, reflect on his extraordinary contribution, and honour a man whose vision changed the course of diving history.
