Fastest kitesurfer in the world

American Robbie Douglas set a new World Record in kitesurfing on the one nautical mile course in the southern France region of La Palme. In 40+ knot winds on July 7, Douglas posted an average speed of 42.73 knots (to be ratified by World Sailing Speed Record Council), with a maximum speed of 50.65 knots. This is his fourth kitesurfing world record for the one nm length in the last six years.
