Diveheart has long been a pioneer in adaptive scuba diving, empowering people of all abilities to experience freedom beneath the surface. For David McMullen, that mission began close to home. His grandfather, Andrew Ryal, was among the very first Diveheart instructors, and his passion for inclusive diving would go on to shape David’s own path.

What began as simple curiosity soon grew into a calling. Through his training as an Advanced Adaptive Dive Buddy, David discovered the compassion, teamwork, and purpose that define the Diveheart community. Each dive became more than exploration, it became a way to connect, support, and share the joy of underwater discovery with others.
