HEAD Watersports will bring its growing portfolio of diving and watersports brands to Surf Expo in Orlando this September, highlighting the group’s expanding presence across the wider recreational and watersports market.
The company is confirmed among the exhibitors at Surf Expo’s Shoreline Outdoor category, which forms part of the September 16-18, 2026 event at the Orange County Convention Center.
For HEAD Watersports, the appearance comes as the group continues to build a broader international watersports platform. Its portfolio has expanded significantly in recent years, bringing established names including Mares and SSI together with Aqualung, Apeks, Aquasphere and other brands under the HEAD Watersports umbrella.
That increasingly broad portfolio makes Surf Expo a strategically relevant platform. While the event has deep roots in the surf and coastal industries, its Shoreline Outdoor category has been developed around the crossover between water-based recreation and wider outdoor lifestyles.
Surf Expo says its September 2026 Shoreline Outdoor section is designed to connect water-inspired brands with outdoor specialty retailers, coastal outfitters, surf shops, marina retailers and resort buyers. The category includes HEAD Watersports alongside brands spanning apparel, footwear, outdoor equipment and other water-oriented products.
The development reflects a broader shift in the watersports marketplace. Consumers increasingly move between activities rather than identifying with a single category, whether that means diving, paddling, fishing, boating or other outdoor pursuits.
For the dive industry, HEAD Watersports’ presence at an event with a broader watersports and outdoor audience is particularly notable because of the scale of the portfolio it now represents.
HEAD’s expansion in diving accelerated with the acquisition of the Aqualung Group, bringing Aqualung and Apeks into a group that already included Mares and SSI. HEAD Watersports has subsequently presented the combination as a unified platform spanning recreational, technical, professional and other areas of diving.
The company has also been developing greater integration between its equipment and training businesses. In May 2026, for example, HEAD Watersports launched a promotion linking qualifying Mares and Aqualung dive computers with an SSI specialty training package, illustrating how the group’s equipment and education businesses can be presented together.
Surf Expo’s current exhibitor information lists HEAD Watersports in the Shoreline Outdoor section, alongside a diverse collection of water and outdoor brands. The event is expected to provide the company with access to retailers and buyers operating well beyond the traditional dive-shop environment.
Surf Expo itself describes the September show as part of its 50th anniversary year. The event has evolved from its original surf-focused identity into a wider marketplace covering surf, swim, paddle, resort, boutique, outdoor and other water-connected categories.
For HEAD Watersports, participation therefore represents more than another trade-show appearance. It places one of the industry’s increasingly significant multi-brand diving groups directly within a broader watersports marketplace at a time when the boundaries between diving, outdoor recreation and other water-based activities are becoming increasingly fluid.
Surf Expo 2026 takes place September 16-18 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
