Nova Scotia Snorkellers Invited to Beach Day and Live Music Event in Chester

Heya snorkelers! 

Are you up for a beach day/swim and snorkel @ Freda’s beach in Chester followed by some hoppin’ live music courtesy of The Mahone Bay Legion Swing Band playing in the bandstand nearby? I sure am! I hope to see ya there!

The Game Plan

• Chester, Nova Scotia
• Public: Anyone on or off Facebook
• The Vibe: A very loose and flexible schedule
• The Rules: There are none. Join for any part of the day you desire

1-4ish snorkel; beginner friendly location/meet other snorkelers
5-6ish BYO picnic or you can opt to have fancy dinner out as well
7-8:30 music or more snorkeling

Things to note:

Weather dependent of course.
Public washrooms are available
There is no fee for the concert. Donations accepted at intermission by a “pass the hat”
Limited seating at the bandshell. Bring chairs or blankets.
As always, snorkel meetups are at your own risk! Be aware of some boat traffic in the bay, away from shore.
This is a very beginner friendly location. We will be sticking to the beach area & shallow edges where boats typically don’t travel. Stay out of the throughway under the bridge. That is a no-no zone, a boat road only.
