Hollywood, CA (January 13, 2020) – The documentary Maiden, which told the story of when Tracy Edwards in 1989 led the first all-female crew in the Whitbread Round the World Race, earned high praise in December 2019 as one of 15 films to advance in the Documentary Feature category for the 92nd Academy Awards. However, the movie was not included in today’s announcement of five nominee finalists to be revealed at the ceremony on February 9, 2020.
