Thousands of people with varying disabilities have been introduced to scuba diving — and all of its benefits — through adaptive diving. It’s amazing to hear some of the stories or challenge and triumph, and all the ways scuba diving is changing lives. Diveheart, a nonprofit organization that runs programs across the United States, is a major reason why so many people with disabilities have been introduced to diving.
Diveheart’s mission is “to build confidence, independence and self-esteem in the lives of children, adults and veterans with disabilities through scuba diving, scuba therapy and related activities.”
