Deniz ekosistemine ve deniz canlılarına büyük zarar veren, ‘hayalet ağ’ olarak nitelenen atıl ağların denizden temizlenmesine devam ediliyor.
Sahil Güvenlik Akdeniz Bölge Komutanlığı ile Mersin Tarım ve Orman İl Müdürlüğü işbirliğinde Erdemli açıklarındaki hayalet ağlar temizlendi.
Tarım ve Orman İl Müdürlüğünden yapılan açıklamaya göre, ‘Hayalet Ağların Denizlerimizden Temizlenmesi Projesi’ kapsamında, Erdemli ilçesi Acısu koyunda atıl durumdaki ağların temizliği yapıldı.
Hayalet ağ temizliğine, Sahil Güvenlik Akdeniz Bölge Komutanı Albay Oğuz Bavbek, Mersin İl Tarım ve Orman Müdürü Arif Abalı ile kurum yetkilileri de katıldı.
Sahil Güvenlik, Erdemli Su Ürünleri Kooperatifi ve İl Müdürlüğü Su Ürünleri personeli işbirliği ile gerçekleştirilen temizlikte, denizde atıl durumda bulunan çok sayıda hayalet ağ toplandı.
