The Epic Rescue of the Costa Concordia

On January 13, 2012, the cruise ship Costa Concordia collided with a rock off Giglio and capsized, resulting in the loss of 32 lives and the arrest of the captain. Four years later, the tragic incident transformed into one of the most complex and expensive salvage operations in history. Led by salvage master Nick Sloan, engineers undertook the monumental task of preventing an environmental catastrophe and saving the island.
