The International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers (IANTD) has announced the release of its newly updated Instructor Manual, providing instructors with revised guidance, enhanced educational content and improved resources designed to support professional dive training around the world.
The updated manual reflects IANTD’s continued commitment to maintaining high educational standards while ensuring instructors have access to the latest teaching methodologies and operational guidance. The revision incorporates updates across multiple instructor-level programmes and aims to provide a more streamlined reference for professionals delivering IANTD courses.
According to IANTD, the revised manual has been reorganised to improve usability, making it easier for instructors to locate standards, procedures and instructional information during course preparation and delivery. The organisation says the update also includes expanded explanations, clearer presentation of course requirements and enhanced supporting materials for educators.
The release forms part of IANTD’s broader effort to modernise its educational resources while maintaining consistency across its global training network. The organisation has increasingly expanded its digital learning platform and continues to update training materials to reflect current industry practices and educational techniques.
Founded in 1985, IANTD has long been recognised as a pioneer in technical diving education, particularly in the development of nitrox, trimix and rebreather training. Today, the agency offers programmes ranging from entry-level recreational diving through advanced technical, cave, wreck, public safety and professional instructor certifications.
The newly updated Instructor Manual is now available to eligible IANTD professionals through the organisation’s instructor resources.
