Seahorse magazine hosts a monthly poll to recognize recent achievement, and Scuttlebutt is leaning in to support North American interests:
TONY LANGLEY (GBR)
They say persistence is usually rewarded; well, British TP52 skipper Tony Langley has certainly been persistent. A supporter of the TP52 Super Series going right back to the days of the Med Cup, Langley maintains a stock of 52s on two continents to avoid wasting time with all that shipping bother. With a change of boat this year and a re-energized team Langley’s Gladiators have pretty much swept all before them on the TP circuit, also cleaning up very enjoyably at Cowes Week
LAURA GRONDIN (USA)
After finishing third overall at last year’s J70 Worlds in St Petersburg, at this year’s event in Palma, Mallorca the New York Yacht Club skipper, racing once again with Taylor Canfield, Scott Ewing and Ian Liberty, had to settle for 15th overall, in a shifty 94-boat series characterized by many of the big names finishing ‘out of position’… to use race car parlance. However, Grondin did once again smash it for first female helm, finishing almost 50 points clear of Italy’s Sofia Giondi

It’s been a good year for USA with monthly winners Sally Honey, Cole Brauer, Michelle Lahrkamp, and Justin Callahan.
