USOPC reviews a season of successes

The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee presented its 2024 Impact Report this week, a document that highlights a historic year marked by medals at the Paris Games, dedication to athletes, and unprecedented growth in fan engagement and fundraising.

“The magic and energy of 2024 truly reignited the spark of the Olympic and Paralympic movements, highlighted by Team USA shining on the world stage at the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024,” said USOPC CEO Sarah Hirshland in reference to the performance of the American delegation during the season.

Athlete excellence takes center stage in the document, with a clear focus on the support provided to help them perform at their best both on and off the field of play. A total of 835 athletes were part of the delegation to the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris. In the Olympics, they won 126 medals, the highest number achieved outside of home soil since 1984, while at the Paralympics they secured 105 medals, placing the United States third in the medal table. – Full report
