Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal (May 21, 2019) – The breeze was on for the second day of the Laser European Championship which completed two more qualifying races for the Standard rig men and the Radial rig women. Luke Elliott (AUS) has taken over the lead for the men but only nine points separate the top ten, while Anne-Marie Rindom (DEN) won both her races to build a seven point lead in the women’s standings. The top North Americans moved up today with Chris Barnard (USA) in 7th and Sarah Douglas (CAN) in 2nd.
Racing will be held in three divisions – Laser Standard Senior (162 entries), Laser Radial Women’s Senior (120 entries), and Laser Radial Men’s Senior (41 entries) – on May 20 to 25.
