The World Sailing Speed Record Council has confirmed new world record reference times for the World Nautical Mile Windsurfer Record and the World Nautical Mile Kitesail Record.
The World Nautical Mile Windsurfer Record, 43.04 kts, was set by Antoine Albeau (FRA) on July 17, 2020.
The World Nautical Mile Kitesail Record was set on July 15, 2020. Sylvain Hoceini (FRA) hit the speed of 39.11 kts.
The records were established at la Palme, France. These are newly ratified accomplishment and now exist for future efforts to challenge.
