Consider the US SailGP Team. They entered the league with significantly less applicable experience than other teams, and were bold in their predictions. They expected to do well. They haven’t.
Rather than pursue success in silence, they embrace the spotlight. But their posts on social media are like golf balls on a tee. People swing. Hard. The team isn’t disliked. The leadership is.
The docuseries Uncharted produced three, 30-minute episodes that followed how Jimmy Spithill, 2-time America’s Cup winning skipper, launched a new SailGP team for Italy. But part of Jimmy’s story is how he got removed from the US team by the leadership group.
