German Diver Dies While Exploring Dwejra in Gozo

A 54-year-old German woman lost her life while diving near Dwejra, in Gozo, according to a report in Malta Today. She had been diving at the well-known San Lawrence site when the incident occurred at about 12:30 pm.

Though bystanders recovered her from the water and emergency responders including medical staff, police, and sea rescue teams attempted to save her, she was pronounced dead. A judicial inquiry into the circumstances is being led by Magistrate Simone Grech.
