One hundred forty-six sailors competed in the 2021 Naples Sabot US Junior National Championship held August 3-5 in San Diego, CA. After a qualifying series divided the competitors into four fleets, the top 35 completed a 6-race series for the gold fleet title. After winning the first race, Sophia Devling (#10300 above) overcame a 10-23 mid series to finish strong with a 3-2 for the win. Even on points but losing on countback was Jacob Posner in second with Maddie Nichols one point back in third.
