Come on Los Angeles, get it together!

The Organizing Committee of the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games has made public the updated venue plan, designed with the aim of adapting each sporting discipline to its ideal setting, in a historic edition in which the Californian city will host this event for the first time.

This would be big news for Sailing if it was still in the Paralympic Games, but that ended after Rio 2016 due to international mismanagement. Getting Sailing back in has proven hard, despite significant changes that have boosted global activity. As usual, “you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.”

What would be big news is if the Organizing Committee of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games had made public the venue plan for Sailing. Despite what the LA28.org website says, despite the Olympic Games being held before the Paralympic Games, and despite a World Sailing memo advising a decision by June, the 2028 Sailing venue remains unconfirmed.
